The Giro di Coppi returns with a challenging road race on a rolling course in Montgomery County, near Sugarloaf Mountain. Race held rain or shine.

PARKING IS LIMITED; Squadra Coppi strongly urges racers to carpool.

Field limit: 50 for M5, 75 for all other races. Entry fee: $30 all races. Results: Official results for morning races will be posted after the completion of all morning races; official results for afternoon races will be posted after the completion of all afternoon races. All races open to non-MABRA riders. Riders are eligible to win a MABRA Championship if USAC records as of the date of the race show that the rider's racing club, as printed on his/her license, is a MABRA-member club, or if the address on their USAC license is within the MABRA geographic boundaries. Course Description and Layout: Rolling 12.5 mile loop. Start in Barnesville, Maryland at Monocacy Elementary School. Neutral roll out to Left at Old Hundred Road (All subsequent circuits will turn Right on Old Hundred). Right on Comus Road. Right on Shiloh Church Road. Right on W. Old Baltimore Road. Left on Slidell Road. Right on Barnesville Road to Start/Finish. Finish at Barnesville Baptist Church. Feed zone located at Peachtree and Barnesville Rd. Centerline rule will be strictly enforced.
Wheel van will follow each race. Wheels in/wheels out support. Race promoter is not responsible for missing or damaged wheels.
For all junior riders, gear restrictions will be enforced. Roll out of all junior rider bikes will be performed prior to the race. Juniors should plan to allow time to complete the roll out before the start of each race.

Registration: Online pre-register ONLY at BikeReg.com. No mail-in, no day-of registration. Online registration closes at 5pm Wednesday July 16, 2008; Race-day check-in opens at 7:30am. $5 Unattached fee (except W4 and M5). No warming up/cooling down on course; please bring a trainer. Please be considerate of the residents of Barnesville.

Transfers & Refunds: Requests must be made prior to 5pm Wednesday, July 16 via email to giro-reg@squadracoppi.com. All request approvals will be made at the discretion of the promoter.

Squadra Coppi has zero tolerance for public urination, obstruction of traffic, and obscenity; offenders may be disqualified, relegated, or fined according to USA Cycling rules.
